LegacyMind (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the LegacyMind mobile application (“App”).

LegacyMind requests access to your device’s microphone solely to record voice memories you initiate. Audio is captured only while you are actively recording inside the App. Recordings are uploaded to our secure cloud storage and may be processed by our AI transcription service (OpenAI) to generate text transcripts. We do not listen to or record audio in the background.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We share data only with the following service providers who process it on our behalf:

Stories you mark as published are visible to your accepted connections within the App. Stories saved as drafts remain private to you. You can change a story’s visibility at any time from within the App.
We do not share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for their own marketing purposes.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete a memory, its audio file is removed from our storage immediately. When you delete your account, all of your personal data — including recordings, transcripts, profile information, and connections — is permanently deleted from our systems immediately upon confirmation. Early access does not collect payment or purchase records.

LegacyMind is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@legacymind.com and we will delete it promptly.
We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. We do not share your data with third parties for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption in transit and secure cloud storage. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notice or email. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
